An art gallery for gardeners - Pence Gallery's celebrated event was the first weekend of May. The Garden Tour featured the inspiring gardens of homes in the Lake Alhambra Estates neighborhood. A silent auction and "Art for Your Garden" sale also was available at La Playa Park the same day for ticket-holders and the general public. The weather could not have been better for this self-guided walking tour. Visitors were welcomed at each of the featured gardens with local artists painting and drawing. These particular works will be displayed and available for purchase at the Pence Gallery, 212 D Street, thru June 29. All proceeds from the Garden Tour support the Pence Gallery's exhibit and education programs for visitors of all ages.
