A small assembly of lawn gnomes watches over the Rosenberg’s front door, standing, welcoming guests and visitors upon their arrival at the arch of double-paned glass doors.  Behind the glass doors are three turquoise archways and smooth terracotta-colored tiled floor opening into the great room and straight to the backyard pool patio and fountain through two more paned-glass doors.  The foyer is highlighted by a chandelier, complete with multi-colored light-reflecting prism hanging from it.  This room is the size of most apartments, and has served many purposes, including a dinning room, sitting area, a meeting room, a play room, but always serves as an exposé of Lea’s collections.

Lea, recognized in Davis through her dedication to Soroptomist, the Odd Fellows Hall, and the Yolo County SPCA thrift store, where she spends most of her days, has been a collector since she was young.  "I’ve always sort of had little collections going," she said.  Lea’s collections are housed by seven turquoise built-in cabinets that run around the perimeter of the great room from floor to ceiling, kitchen cabinets, and have even overflowed to the fountain in the back yard.
