You might think that letting snowmen and gingerbread men take over your house is crazy, but Sherry Puntillo doesn’t. She has more than 600 different snowmen with no duplicates, and she has stories for all of them. Sherry has a warm smile - nearly as warm as many of her snowmen - brown fluffy hair and a laugh as grand as her Christmas tree.

Sherry’s very favorite snowman is a cookie jar from her husband, Ted Puntillo; the first present he ever gave her. Sherry explains, "It’s a Christopher Radko. He’s a famous designer, and he designs a lot of the ornaments that are hand-blown glass and hand painted. (Ted) didn’t even know what a Christopher Radko was, but he liked (the snowman’s) little face, and then I saw the . symbol on the box and freaked out." You have to agree that this cookie jar makes you smile.

Some of Sherry’s special snow people are from her mom. The first carries letters for Santa. "Ted, my husband, used to be the postmaster here in Davis, so she made it be postal-related," says Sherry. Her mom got the snowman and fixed it up. One of the added signs is, "Ted E. Puntillo, Postmaster." Second are the elegant snow people. Her mom gave them to her the year Ted and Sherry got married.
