The seemingly private, small-town-loving Jack Armstrong (one-half of the popular morning Armstrong and Getty Show on Sacramento radio station KSTE) doesn’t let a lot of the cat out of the bag with his online professional bio. Aside from the morning banter with on-air partner Joe Getty about everything from the war in Iraq to local politics and everything in between, all we know about him is that: 1) he’s currently reading The Master and the Margarita by Bulgakov; 2) he’s listening to the new Mumbo Gumbo CD ("It’s really good," he notes); 3) he’s watching "The Office" (although he still prefers the original UK television series); and 4) he’s seen the movies The Queen (which he says is very good) and Saw (which he says is very scary).

We recently chatted with Armstrong in a telephone interview to pry a little further.

DAVIS LIFE MAGAZINE: You recently got married. Congratulations! Didn’t you announce your engagement in January on the air?
JACK ARMSTRONG: (laughing) Ah, you must have seen that on Wikipedia. I’m amused sometimes to find out things (about myself), like I’m from different places than (Wikipedia) says (I’m from). I think that’s pretty funny when you read your own Wikipedia file and realize how inaccurate it is. It makes you wonder about all the other stuff that you look up.
