YoloBerry is not only a cost-effective operation, but also an affordable treat.

"You get a dessert for three bucks. It still doesn't break the bank," said Lee. YoloBerry Yogurt goes for 39 cents per ounce, after toppings have been added. "A family comes in, they're on a limited budget, they can come in and still spend a few bucks."

And it's not just appealing to a single group. "The demographics are great, because it's little kids to 100-year-old people, and everybody in between," Lee stated. Fro-yo has a cross-culture and cross-generational appeal, making it marketable to just about everyone.

After considering the affordability, from both an operational and consumption standpoint, marketability, and seeing the set-up, huge lines and growing success of another fro-yo franchise in the region first-hand, Lee was sold. He felt inspired and certain that he could bring a unique and competitive fro-yo experience to Davis. "I figured, well, I can do this and then some," said Lee. "Create a yogurt experience, that's what I wanted to do." And so he did.
