Having just moved from New York, I couldn't pass up the Bellini Martini of peach puree and vodka. A round of drinks for two was $8, without tax and tip, during the happy hour. Customers: Undergraduates and graduates We had a fun time taking in the scene at Uncle Vito's. Large, flat-screen televisions hosting national sports teams was punctuated by groups of vociferous students with their mugs of beer and slice of pie. One group of interesting-looking fourth-years were bar hopping - having just come from Sophia's, they were next headed to Little Prague. Another group sported an acrobatic Australian who could drink his beer standing on his head - now that's entertainment!

We came to know the Uncle Vito's staff on opening night as they buzzed around the restaurant serving slices, pies and drinks to an unexpectedly overwhelming crowd. Chatty and down-homey, the bartenders have always served up a good wine list, beer and cocktail fare. I've had wine for as cheap as $5 per glass, as well as the chilled, peachy bellini martini, which on special is also just $5.
