Froggy's was offensively bright inside, but once we adjusted to that and to the music that was so deafening it made the walls of this narrow establishment bulge, we got into the scene. I really enjoyed seeing the lively atmosphere in which the cocktail waitress balanced a tray of drinks above her head while she danced and shook her way to the tables.

The DJ was a character, as well. He often selected a song and either got groovy by himself behind the DJ table or actually came out onto the dance floor when he spied a nice, lovely lady to get groovy with. The music was predominantly hip hop, but the crowd was not the typical group of undergraduates. Certainly, they were there wearing bagging jeans and baseball caps, but it was great to see 30-, 40- and 50-somethings present and carrying on at high tables filled with cocktails and beer near the bar, as well as getting groovy on the dance floor.
