The teen years, though beautiful in their own right, can prove as challenging times for both the teens and those within their sphere of influence. Their transition into adulthood can be improved upon by taking the time to truly listen to their stories and provide options to help teenagers through this often perplexing period in their lives. Organizations such as the Third and B Teen Center, along with some guiding influence from the teens themselves, can make a difference.
The Teen Center, located quite miraculously at Third and B Streets in Davis, is an operation of the city of Davis, having been at this location for 18 years. The Center offers a safe place for teens to hang out with friends amidst a variety of games, musical instruments, music, videos, and a host of options presented by a dedicated staff. Before launching more fully into what the Teen Center is all about, it could be of benefit to know the perspectives of a few teens.
