The Woodland Opera House will present the classic Broadway musical “Hello, Dolly!” opening Friday, September 12 and running Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. through October 5. There will be an additional matinee at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 27. The show is generously underwritten by Tom and Meg Stallard.
Winner of ten Tony Awards including Best Musical, “Hello Dolly!” is one of the most enduring Broadway classics.
Based on the Thornton Wilder play, “The Matchmaker” with music and lyrics by Jerry Herman and book by Michael Stewart the show features an irresistible story and an unforgettable score including the title song, “Put on Your Sunday Clothes”, “It Only Takes a Moment”, and the show-stopping “Before the Parade Passes By”. Dolly has been charming audiences of all ages for nearly 50 years.
The show is directed by Cheryl Watson and choreographed by Staci Arriaga with music direction by James Glica-Hernandez.
