Thanking the Veterans

This week, Da Vinci High’s junior class invited local veterans to an assembly, where they were thanked for their service and their participation in the Library of Congress’ Veteran’s History Project, for which Da Vinci students interviewed the veterans as part of their project “America at War”. Congressman Mike Thompson, himself a veteran, made an appearance at the event. He spoke at the assembly, shook hands, and answered questions during and afterwards.
