The much-loved restaurant of Sacramento, Paesanos (with locations in Midtown and Elk Grove), is coming to Davis!
Owner Mark Scribner of Davis and his partner David Virga announced that they are planning on opening Paesanos on G Street where Fuzio was formerly housed and that their target date to open is sometime around August 1, 2011. “We plan on enhancing the patios to make them more inviting and a place you would want to hang out and have cocktails and appetizers,” said Mark.
Paesanos is a full-service restaurant featuring pastas, pizzas, salads and more, as well as a full bar. According to Mark, “The core menu will be similar [to Paesanos’] with the addition of some of our more popular menu items from Pronto. Our Executive Chef is currently sourcing out local produce, olive oil, meats etc., to add to our menu. Our goal is to have Davis Paesanos represent Davis.” Pronto is another Sacramento neighborhood restaurant owned by the pair. Mark and David also own the popular Uncle Vito’s Slice of NY with locations in Davis and Sacramento.
Hours of operation will be 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday – Friday and open at 9 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday for breakfast.
“We’re excited about creating a destination dining area in Davis. With the synergy of four great dining options – Tres Hermanas, Our House, Tucos and Paesanos – all within a one-block radius, this will create a fun and energetic dining district on G Street,” said Mark.
