Gallery 625 will feature a group exhibit in February featuring recent ceramic creations by Tony Natsoulas, watercolor and oil paintings by Russell Reich, and the paintings of emerging artist, Theadora Ann Reich, a Woodland High School student and California Summer School for the Arts scholar.
The exhibit’s opening reception will be held on Friday, February 4 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. and coincides with Woodland’s downtown First Friday Art Walk. Artists Natsoulas, Reich and Reich will be on hand.
At the First Friday reception, YoloArts will also be hosting Diana Daniels, Associate Curator for the Crocker Art Museum, who will present a lecture on collecting ceramic art from 6-7 p.m. Daniels has extensive experience curating ceramic exhibitions, including the Crocker’s current exhibition “The Vase and Beyond: The Sidney Swidler Collection of the Contemporary Vessel.” Daniels is expected to comment on the significance of collecting contemporary ceramic art to cultivate future collectors, and appreciating ceramics today as fine art.
