Yesterday I had the pleasure of touring five lovely homes in East Sacramento at the Sacred Heart Holiday Home Tour. If you get a chance this weekend, go see these homes for some serious home design inspiration – not only for the holidays but for everyday.
The self-guided, walking tour begins on 43rd Street between J and M Streets in East Sacramento and ends on 38th Street between J and M Streets. Guests may start at either end for the tour that will take about two hours to complete. Tickets are $30 the day of the event. Children over the age of one must have a ticket.
Also open for home tour guests is the Holiday Cafe and Gift Shop located at Sacred Heart School, 856 39th Street. Light refreshments, desserts, warm beverages including specialty coffees, wines and champagne will be available for purchase. The Gift Shop features home accessories, hostess gifts, holiday ornaments, candles, candy, jams and jellies, teachers’ gifts, wreaths and topiaries . A perfect way to start or end this holiday home tour, especially with friends – a little shopping and a cafe. Tour tickets are not necessary to shop or dine.
The attention to detail restoring the old world charm of the original architecture is spectacular. The quality of furnishings and accessories are arranged in such a lovely manner, you will not be disappointed. Home tour guests are sure to return to their own homes ready to implement new ideas and arrangements! Enjoy the eye candy:
The Sacred Heart Holiday Home Tour features local designers, retailers and florists who are hand-picked to create the wonderful rooms and displays, including Davis’ own Beyond the Garden Gate!
Although Friday’s debut has passed there is still time to check out these homes Saturday, and Sunday December 5th from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
