A few beer bottles I've kept.
If you don’t know why I’m calling myself an arrogant bastard in the title of this post, well, that’s Ok. You’ll learn. In fact I really, really hope that you do learn. I’d like to think I’ll help facilitate that.
In this blog I’ll be covering many things, but mostly beer. Good beer that is. I love good beer. For each good beer I drink, I’ve probably done at least two hours of research on it. In the last 5 days I’ve drunk 2 beers, but probably spent 7 hours online learning about beer and breweries.
What I’d like to accomplish here is keeping you all up to date with beer happenings in Davis. I’ll be writing about my experiences, but I also want to work for you.
*That is, if I see fresh Pliny The Elder on the shelves, I’ll let you know here.
*If the Graduate is having a tasting, I’ll let you know here, and if you missed it, I’ll let you know how it was.
*Any time an exciting new Beer is in stock at the Food Co-Op (or Nugget or wherever), I’ll update it here along with a review (assuming I can afford to buy it…which I can’t always do).
*Want to know the best happy hour deal in town? I’ll find out and let you know.
*Want some tips on other beverages? I roast coffee with the Pepper Peddler weekly, brew coffee with Pachamama at the Farmers Market, and study at Cloud Forest and Mishka’s…so I know a few things about that too.
AND finally (at least, finally for now that is) if you’re a home brewer, I’d love to try your beer and talk about it here. In fact, I’ve got a lot of things I’d like to discuss with you homebrewers, but I’ll keep that to myself for now.

Sounds like fun! I think we have similar beer palates…
Just read in Newport Beach’s Daily Pilot that Arrogant Bastard is the #1 selling beer in the NATION. Have mailed you an article today about a couple of guys who have come up with a VERY STRONG beer…I think it said 45% or more.
Your article sounds interesting and I would like to find out more about buying brew kits or ingredients for beer making.
Is there any place close to Davis to buy brewing supplies, besides on line and besides the Brewer’s Outlet in Sacramento?
